Scoping Review

This section provides a detailed narrative review of heat and health, covering:

• Exposure metrics & physiological pathways (temperature, Heat Index, WBGT, UTCI; thermoregulation, dehydration, cardiovascular strain)
• Health outcomes (mortality, cardiovascular, renal, maternal/child, mental health), productivity and occupational injury
• Vulnerable populations (elderly, infants, pregnant women, outdoor workers, urban poor, comorbidities)
• Interventions & adaptations (EWS, health system preparedness, work–rest cycles, cool roofs, urban greening, housing)
• Policy & governance (HAPs, NDMA/state/district ops, One-Health integration)
• Evidence gaps & research agenda (surveillance, dose–response with WBGT/UTCI, indoor heat, animal health)
